Our Mission
Issues We Address
We know there are a lot of barriers to these mountain activities, which is why we have made it our mission to be there for those who want to give their children the opportunity to experience these sports and gain the broad spectrum of benefits they offer.
High Cost
Trail Folx will alleviate this major barrier to the activities and will do so by working with the right partners, bringing in volunteers, and putting our resources towards offering our youth access to gear, transportation and travel, and guides/instructors.
Diversity
It’s no secret that a major lack of diversity exists in these mountain sports. The truth is that minorities are often left out of the conversation and underrepresented, especially in how they are presented.
But mountain sports are for everyone! We’re on a mission to make diversity more visible and bring more people into the space so that people from all walks of life can feel welcome and included when taking part in these adventurous activities.
Jobs
These sports don’t have to stop at participation! We will offer our older youth a chance to expand their experience within them, learning more and gaining life experience through employment opportunities within the Trail Folx organization. Through our paid guide ambassador program, they’ll get a chance to be a part of guiding curated experiences for others!
